 Background |
We were incorporated in Malaysia on 13 October 1990 under the Companies Act. 1965 as a private limited company under the name Halex Holdings Sdn Bhd. Subsequently, on 11 January 2007, we converted our status from a private limited company to a public limited company to facilitate our listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd which was on 16 September 2009. We are principally an investment holding company.
Our group started off in 1980 as Halex (M) Sdn. Bhd., a trading company importing and distributing agrochemicals and fertilisers.
Today, 30 years later, while maintaining our core business in agrochemicals, Halex has grown and diversified through our main subsidiaries.

| Corporate Philosophy |
The Chinese translation of the name “Halex” (合力) means “cooperation”, which is truly part of our group’s corporate culture. The shareholders pooled their resources to build and prosper the business. Through this cooperation, the philosophy of sharing was developed.
The Halex logo has a slogan which says “….. for the little extra”. This short phrase signifies Halex’s commitment to deliver values beyond customers’ expectations.
The philosophy of Halex has always been to grow organically. Working hard to establish each subsidiary into independent and effective competitors in their respective industries, the management consciously identifies and grooms key and potential employees from her folds to take on larger and more important roles to achieve the objectives of each subsidiary.

| Our Activities |
Currently Halex Group of Companies operates from our headquarters in Johor Bahru. Product distributions are channelled through established distributors, hypermarkets, supermarkets and a dealer network in all major towns in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Halex maintains branch offices in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

| Forging Ahead |
Despite the difficult business environment and increasingly stiff competition, we are determined to press ahead with the development of the export markets and new product lines. Halex will continue to seek out new niche markets and opportunities that may come along. With a team of committed personnel and support from all business associates established over the years, the management will continue building Halex into a Premium Company. |
